I addressed this in a longer post a few months ago, but thought I'd ask more specifically:
Have you found (eventual, unexpected) acceptance from conservative family members when you came out to them about your lack of faith and/or your heathen lifestyle?
Or, to rephrase the conundrum: What if you're a female ex-fundie living with your girlfriend, and your mother is the type who believes armageddon is imminent? Is there any chance she'll learn to see past her homophobia and accept you for who you are?
I know it's a very individual thing, but am interested to hear your experiences/perspectives.
